There are three institutions that have accreditation from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC) in the state of Alabama. All of the universities provide a Bachelor's degree in the field of communications. The largest among the schools in the state, the University of Alabama, also offers a Master of Arts in both Journalism, and Advertising and Public Relations.
