At this time, there are no institutions in the state of Alaska that has been designated by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). Programs that have been accredited by this organization have gone through the work of self-reviewing and has met the criteria ensuring a quality education can be gained in the fields of digital media and communication.

While some institutions in the state of Alaska may still provide a quality education, gaining accreditation by the ACEJMC provides scholarships and internship opportunities that would not be available through a program that has not received this designation.
