The state of Nevada has just one institution that has been designated by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). The University of Nevada in Reno offers a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and it has been last accredited in 2014. Among the variety of tracks available for students to pursue when taking this program, the Bilingual Media track was added since being accredited.

There are no Master's degrees in the field of communication that have been accredited by the ACEJMC. All programs that have been designated by the ACEJMC must adhere to nine specific categories for approval, including evidence of welcoming all diverse student candidates and faculty members, offering scholarships and grants to students that show academic merit or research opportunity, and the latest facilities and many resources for students to gain a solid academic education and professional skills.
